Regional Meetings

Each year, university clubs within SASES submit bids to host the yearly Regional Meeting, which usually occurs over spring break. SASES members from universities across the country come together to network and learn about the agricultural practices of the host area. The meeting usually consists of keynote speakers, industry tours and student socials.

Special events and workshops are available to SASES students who want to network with professionals and improve their knowledge in the agricultural sciences. Students can also attend the many seminars and lectures available to Tri-Society members.

The 2016 Annual Meeting will be held in Phoenix, Arizona and will focus on Resilience Emerging from Scarcity and Abundance. You can learn more about the meeting and register here.

Golden Opportunity Scholars

Each year, the Tri-Societies select a number outstanding undergraduate students to attend the international meeting as Golden Opportunity (GO) Scholars. The Societies will reimburse GO Scholars for all expenses related to the meeting, including travel. Scholars are also paired with a mentor for the duration of the meeting. The MU Agronomy Club is proud to have a long-standing tradition of sending at least one GO Scholar to the Annual Meeting each year.
